Christopher Wray is the candidate that US President Donald Trump has chosen to become the new director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which will appear before the US Senate Justice Committee on July 12 next week. The US Senate's announcement this Wednesday, cited by USA TODAY, on Thursday, July 6, 2017.
According to the statement, the decision to accept or deny the nomination of Christopher Wray will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, 12 July 2017, at the Dirksen Senate Office Building at the order of the President of the Senate Justice Committee. If approved by the committee, Mr. Wray will take the remaining vacant position from James Comey.
Wray was selected by Donald Tram in June after former ex-FBI leader James Comey was abruptly sacked by Mr. Tram. Former US Attorney Christopher Wray also served in the former US administration of George W. Bush, from 2003 to 2005, Wray served as the Criminal Investigator of the Department of Justice.
