The United States has submitted a request to the UN Security Council to convene an emergency meeting to discuss the hot topic, a test launch of the North's ballistic missile Tuesday morning, and the meeting is expected to take place this Wednesday afternoon (US time). North Korea announced Tuesday that it successfully test-fired its first Hwasong-14 ICBM ballistic missile test. Pyongyang said the missile had traveled 933 kilometers and reached an altitude of 2,800 kilometers during its 39-minute flight before reaching 100 percent targets in the Sea of ​​Japan.

Over the claims, Washington also acknowledged that it was the first North Korea-made ICBM intercontinental ballistic missile test. In addition, Pyongyang, China, has also condemned North Korea's actions but called for everyone to remain calm so that the situation in the region would not deteriorate.
